Casa Serafini Home to the Serafini family,
Casa Serafini is steeped in historical
tradition, their emblem,formed by three
seraphs(or angels),is visible over the
main entrance door.
In the 15th century, it is believed
that the family came to find a home in
Bargni. Where Ettore Serafini's plot
against the tyrranical Duke of Urbino
was foiled, he was forced to flee from
Urbino to secure his safety outside the
Duchy's Border.
The buildings in the estate were built
in several stages spanning the 16th and
17th centuries, the final building added
and called 'Casone' was built in 1876 by
Guiseppe Serafini, mayor and councillor
of Bargni. |
The Local Area Casa Serafini is situated close to the village
of Bargni, a typical small Italian village, with
houses built atop one of the many rolling hills of
the Le Marche area.
Bargni boasts an excellent hotel and restaurant,
it's own church and many of the houses have been
restored. Just a few minutes walk in the other
direction leads to another small and exclusive
restaurant and guest house offering a wonderful
selection of dishes and proudly showing their
certificate for producing one of the best olive oils available in the region.
The university town of Fano is only 15 minutes drive towards the coast. Fano is a typical Italian Town
endowed with many beautiful old buildings. There is
a large pedestrian area offering many boutiques and cafe's,the Marina has been recently improved and the
coast and beaches are well maintained. The local
Saturday market is very popular and offers almost everything you can think of.!
